The Wilson Trail: Cloudy Hill to Pat Sin Leng
Wilson Trail | Section 9 | 10.6km | Difficult
Welcome to Section 9 of the Wilson Trail, a challenging yet incredibly rewarding 10.6-kilometer hike that takes you from the summit of Cloudy Hill to the rugged ridges of Pat Sin Leng. Known for its difficulty and stunning panoramic views, this section is a favorite among experienced hikers seeking a true adventure. With an estimated completion time of 4.5 hours, it’s almost a full-day commitment, but every step is worth it.
We consider Section 9 to be the most scenic section of the Wilson Trail. The constant up and down of the 8 Immortals and the stunning views of Tolo Harbour, Ma On Shan and, on a clear day, Shenzhen make this one of our all-time favourite hikes in Hong Kong. However, this section is not for the faint of heart—it features steep climbs and packs a lot of elevation. Section 9 offers a thrilling mix of natural beauty and physical challenge.
